I have just discovered that I can build up new contacts for my business clients by approaching my opposite number in the economic development communities of target locations.. the network operates at a municipality to county level.. referrals work and business seems to grow - fostered by the trust engendered through both local government officers knowing their clients and trying to help them..
real simple but maybe that is why it works..
